The EVGA brand is a trusted one. the power supply is a good one and the reason i went with it was for upgrade Path as the build is already at 450w, when adding another gtx 980 ti g1 gaming that bumps that to 700w and you always want a little wiggle room, would suck to get a lower wattage psu then come time to upgrade and have to replace it making the upgrade take another 100 or so more than it would have if using this one. :P

no.. the original 1000g is not as good as the newer g2

lower quality...

I have never said it was Better than the 2g i said it was better than the antec hcg 620w, not because of quality but because of wattage. Not only this the fact that it is a trusted brand. and it is prob not going to have issues, you can gold plate a hdmi cable and it is "higher quality" but that doesnt mean buy it over a regular hdmi cable... don't  take it off a different path to try and win a pointless argument

I understand that but you are basically saying in a year when you want a upgrade you are willing to put out another 100 ish on a new psu along with the gpu.

the gold rating on mine vs the bronze on the one you said( witch would help with power consumption concerns but not quality :P)

Basicaly if i jerryrigged a redundant psu from a server into this case you would rather that? i mean its higher quality, amiright?
