Is the Asus RaidR Express released yet?

I like the color scheme of Noctua fans. Deal with it. Forget about the bad memories of the past.

Forget about the bad memories of the past, take the good ones along with you through the present, and look forwards to the good things that will come in the future.

Gaming, video and photo editing, although the editing will be light.

Why not a 8350 and a 990FX board?

Edit: The green?

Ocz?

What made you go with these over the Samsung BC?

They are cheap for a reason...

Had it for AGES mate. Don't really want to spend extra on something that doesn't need upgrading. Also, the colour of it matches the build :)

Drive is backed up nightly to my NAS, so a failure wouldn't really be too much of an issue. I've never had an issue with their drives that a firmware update hasn't fixed.

The Crosshair V Formula Z is "only" £160 now on Amazon. I know it's £50ish more than the UD3 but it has the only 8+2+2 power stages on any 990FX board.

I've heard good and bad about the UD3. I was tempted to get one myself but it wouldn't have been a massive upgrade to what I had that died.

Looking forward to seeing this build. I love seeing the 8 core FX used to the fullest :)

Area 51 2014. Intel 5820k@ 4.4ghz. MSI X99.16gb Quad channel ram. AMD Fury X.Asus RAIDR.OCZ ARC 480gb SSD. Velociraptor 600gb. 2tb WD.
