HP Spectre x360, light, powerful (8 GB RAM, i7 2 GHz processor, SSD) and great battery life, own one myself.

Might want to look into an x1 carbon, those are really thin and light laptop and they are design for a business environment. This laptop will suit your needs perfectly

Carbon x1, thinkpad p40 (it's really new), thinkpad T450s, spectre 360x (not as well build as the thinkpads).

I had a asus laptop where the speaker and the jack stick were broken, I got it "fixed" (they "changed" the soundcard and the jackstick port= when I got it back the jack was still broken, tried to talk to them but they didn't want to fix it anymore, 1 month later my HDD and screen started to act up, they changed the screen and the HDD when I got it back there was a crack in the bessel, and they didn't want to fix that or even look at it.

Asus laptop are okay build better than acer, hp and dell but their support is not good.

Actually, Asus' build quality is dropping fast. New RoG 15' laptops don't even have metal on them anymore.

The used to be good up until 2013 but now they are dreadful. Dell are a lot better. HP are also pulling their shit together with the Omen.

In their defense though. The Acer Nitro with a i5 5500U and 850M is actually fairly good for the money - it keeps itself cool and is solid enough for a 700$ machine

Acer makes good pc's when it comes to specs to price, but the build quality is not that great and the materials they use sometimes are really really bad.
