Acer makes good pc's when it comes to specs to price, but the build quality is not that great and the materials they use sometimes are really really bad.

My main gripe with the Nitro series is the poor cooling - that's the most important aspect of a gaming laptop. The one with the lower specs, at least, can keep cool.

Fun story, the Asus GL552 has CPU temps of 86*C and GPU temps of 84*C under load whereas the HP Pavilion Gaming has CPU temps of 80*C and GPU temps of 74*C. Why? HP invested more and got a full copper heatsink whereas Asus cheaped out with Aluminium.

Before you buy amp and dac.  My thoughts on the M50x  Ultimate Ears Reference monitor review I might have a thing for audio...

My main Headphones and IEMs:  K612 pro, HD 25 and Ultimate Ears Reference Monitor, HD 580 with HD 600 grills

DAC and AMP: RME ADI 2 DAC

Speakers: Genelec 8040, System Audio SA205

Receiver: Denon AVR-1612

Desktop: R7 1700, GTX 1080  RX 580 8GB and other stuff

Laptop: ThinkPad P50: i7 6820HQ, M2000M. ThinkPad T420s: i7 2640M, NVS 4200M

There are some acer laptops that looks really cool, but the build quality just feel so cheap and they can't really take any rough treatment at all.

I'm not a fan of tough love :D

This is actually better than the GL552 by Asus.....except for the cover flex

For me a laptop should be able to take a bit of rough treatment..

If it were 150$ less it would be good value
