Advice for a.. new build

Crailz

LE : i made this.. any good? http://pcpartpicker.com/p/CXP2XL

so..... I have a 2010 PC, built by myself. It has the best parts available at that time (in Romania) in it.

These being : XNGsq26.png

19iIn9i.png

8gb of ram, asus maximus iii gene and a 750w psu

so what I need the PC for..

not so much gaming.. no time, 8th grade and also.. i am a starting photographer.. i need this new pc mostly for video and photo editing.

not too expensive tho, parts in Romania are more expensive than they're in the US

for example : a GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 970 G1 GAMING 4GB DDR5 256-bit is $430 in Romania, and $360 on Amazon. (this is just for reference.)

so.. somewhere in the neigbourhood of $850 US prices in total? or $1000.

I will keep this PSU, that's what I know for sure. And I might sell all these parts if everything turns out too expensive :)

welcome to the ltt forum.

well if your doing a lot of editing it depends. if you can benefit from graphics acceleration you should do it but if not i would probably opt for a skylake i7 with fast storage. maybe even a 5820k if you can fit into your budget

Desktop Build Log http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/486571-custom-wooden-case-with-lighting/#entry6529892

R9 380 is the best value GPU on the market atm. I know what prices you and I have (hi neighbour) and I'd go for that.
