I have a fixed bill so im not paying more if im using more only paying 25USD and no more :-)

And sure it it might be hot but still not hotter then what i have now, and cant get lower temps on it my cards run 40 41 idle, and i dont have any place for fans to get the air to them (Having to many rads)

And its not that old if we look at it its about the age of 980.

the 295x2 is specifically hot, it just outputs more heat, it's water cooler for a reason, the temps are pretty low.

980ti. Due to having only 4GB vRAM per GPU its not as good for higher resolutions. Also the 295X2 draws insane amounts of power, puts out a lot of heat so yeah...there is the power bill and your rooms temperature to consider as well. Now if it was a 390X2 then it'd be different as it has 8GB vRAM per GPU and better power connectors. Though in games with poor Crossfire support (or none at all) a single 980ti will be better.

295x2 is quite more powerfull

but it needs at least 1000W power supply, and outputs crazy heat

also it's dual GPU, so you know.... issues

i think you should get 980ti

At least 1000w? You can't be serious. lol.

I am sure it states at least 850w, but 1000w is recommended. I doubt you will notice the difference in your power billunless you are gaming flat out 24 hours a day.

You also need specifically 24v rails.

I think you will find that it runs on standard 12v, you need 28 AMP rails, not volts.

295x2 is a lot more powerful than 980ti

but instead I would consider the resolutions you are playing on maybe you can go for Fury or dual Fury with that budget instead

you can run two 295x2 on a 1000W PSU and it has been done

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/graphics-card-power-supply-balance,3979-5.html

it depends on the quality of the PSU instead, AMD recommends 850W on their spec sheet just because they don't want you to use it with CX500 or something like that

They are going by better safe than sorry and betting on the fact that usually higher capacity PSU uses higher quality components

When Crossfire works right the 295 will pull ahead. When it's not working you're limited to a 290x. Also compare 4 GB v 6GB. Extra ram useful for higher res/monitors. The 295 is a good card when it works, but there's a bunch of caveats involved with it. It's up to you if it's worth it.

I have a decent 1500W Corsair PSU coming to me in a few days so i think i can handle this card haha when i buy GPU's i always go out and buy a new psu so im able to crossfire / sli a card more just if i have to get it then im able to.

And yeah so far ive only seen better scores with the AMD, and gotta say i always hated amd but now amd is getting good.

And dont think about it being a dual gpu im gonna crossfire / sli anyway so the iissues will still be there no matter what in my case and i can deal with it always running sli / crossfire so i know how to get it sorted and where the good drivers are and stuff :D

Is getting good? The 295x2 has been out for like 3 years at the least. 290x has overtaken 970 via drivers. They've been getting good for a while now.

you can always get a 290x if you want to tri fire with the 295, Crossfire scales way better than SLI anyway from what I have read.

Yeah but the 295x2 is pretty much ultra binned 290x's.

I have a fixed bill so im not paying more if im using more only paying 25USD and no more :-)

And sure it it might be hot but still not hotter then what i have now, and cant get lower temps on it my cards run 40 41 idle, and i dont have any place for fans to get the air to them (Having to many rads)

True, but it's essentially just 2 290x's, so you have to use the 290x release date instead. They have a 390x2 now anyway, so you might as well get that. Or, Fury x2.
