I don't know how to word this but I'm just going to ask.

My parents wants a new computer ad I volunteered to build them a new one instead of going out and buying a new HP for about $500 to $600. Their current HP has a AMD A6 (3-4 years old) installed and having performance issues.

I was thinking of installing a Intel devils canyon i3 or i5 in their new computer, wipe and reuse their HDD from the HP and install a 64GB SSD.

Or the other option would be to get a AMD FX and craigslist a used GPU and a Hybrid HDD.

If you guys have a better idea, their budget is $500. I believe I can reuse the windows key, 430 watt PSU and disc drive from their computer. I have a old computer tower I was going to move all the components in that can fit up to an ATX board in it.

ASrock is probably generally the worst of the big 4 (ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte, and ASrock).

however, they aren't bad by any means.

I just think they don't over market their motherboards like what ASUS and MSI does. Their dehumidifier feature though sounds really BS. HAHA  Any manufacturer of the 4 would be an EXCELLENT choice in my opinion.

They're not the best but they're not nearly as bad as Biostar or ECS
