I don't really understand what the difference is between high usage and low usage with my 7970. It kinda puts out the same hash rate.. the only difference is that my pc becomes unuseable at high usage

Quick question. I've been mining for a few days now (at around 560kHash/s), but haven't gotten any Litecoins yet. Is this normal? If so, how long does it take to start receiving Litecoins?

It depends on your payout schedule from your mining.  I have a payout schedule to send to my wallet when it reaches 50 LTC, but that takes a month for me.  You can do payouts with as little as 5 LTC I believe on most pools.  If you log into your mining pool's site, then you can see how many coins you have.

Main rig: i7 3770K @ 4.54, Sapphire R9 290, Sabertooth Z77, 16 GB Mushkin Redline 2133, Lian Li PC-P50R, Seasonic 860xp Platinum, Kingston Hyper X 3K 240GB

freeNAS server: AMD Athlon II 170u 20W, 5 x 3TB WD Red in raid-z1 (12 TB)

media centre: AMD A10-5700, crucial M4 (boot), running XBMC,4 x 3TB WD Red, 3 x 3TB WD green + 2TB green in FlexRAID (17 TB)

Oh, now I understand. I must've missed that. Anyways, I found my account balance, and set my payout balance (10 LTC). Thanks for the help. :)

Shares are attempts at solving the block. Each share accepted/submitted is your contribution to that block. Pools can have different payment methods, but they all pay based on your accepted shares. You do nothing with them directly, they are just a way for a pool to know you are helping to contribute to a pool.

Got 109 weeks remaining, can I safely exit the application and begin from the previous point?

Yes you can, you can close and continue syncing anytime.

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
Users cannot, and will not securely manage key material. Most users can't and the ones that can, wont.

Ask me about Bitcoin, Litecoin, Crypto-Currencies, and/or Mining them.

Has anyone else had a "failed to read/write block" error? I get it within 20s of establishing a connection... Any solutions?
