this one looks decent.

btw, if you're into dumpster diving, hp's atx size workstation cases are amazing pieces of kit, if you dont mind 20kg worth of steel.

I need a case within the $0-$50 range

ATX form factor which will have a R9 380

Suggestions anyone?

I used this before:

The case is ugly, light, the build quality isn't very good, cable management is a pain in the ass, and you need to buy one or two 120mm intake fans, but with the fans the cooling is pretty good and it has both front and bottom filters.

The Source 220 is way better for $5 more with 3x120mm intake fans and a mesh front.

The build quality is also really nice for the Source 220. However, it has no dust filters whatsoever. For me that makes it worse than the Antec GX500 I posted above, but the Source 220 is so much sturdier and looks worlds better.

thats like the exact oposite of what anyone sensible would recommend...

honestly, mount your parts on a piece of wood if that means you can get a better system.

one thing i have to say positive about my god awful antec case is that i am physically unable to flex the side panels, its like they're reinforced unobtanium...

or well.. 2mm steel...

Legit story,

My friend was doing cleanup and since his antec case had a sh*t airflow he had to take it to the balcony ledge

Fell off

Case with parts Bounced at least 4 times

All parts worked perfectly

But then it gets so damn hard to upgrade

you gotta buy a new case... etc...

you get at least a semi decent case now, all it does is hold the parts together, honestly.

then when theres some budget headroom you get a nice box, and put the cat in the old one.

a friend of mine currently has a 4770 and a GTX960 in an acer prebuilt case, and from the outside it looks pretty acceptable...

I used a Fractal Design Core 2300 recently in a build for a friend, I was surprised how nice it was for the price!

LOL I agree on their newer cases, but my old Antec NSK4000 I bought in 2008 looked pretty decent, plus it came with an Earthwatts 380 made by Seasonic.

si_nsk4400.jpg

i actually have the black version of that one.

the store i got it from has since moved on to better, and likes to call these "loud dust magnets" because they can make a quiet system louder somehow, and also manage to suck up every piece of dust in the room...

My Antec GX500 would probably flex if I turned a box fan on it.
