Did I buy a broken DxRacer?

So I just picked up a DxRacer Iron.

I put it all together according to the manual and everything looks fine.

Except one thing. I can't raise the chair.

I have two plastic handles. One for locking the rocking chair, one for raising/lowering.

The lock handle has two modes and it works like it should.

But the raising one is kind of loose and does not function properly. If I lift it and then forcefully lift the chair then the chair stays up until I put some weight on it.

Am I doing anything wrong or do I have to carry this heavy ass chair back to the store?

Yeah, I'll do that tomorrow probably. The thing is that the hydraulic pump thingy is stuck. But I think it should be stuck but I have to bring the whole bottom of the chair if I have to bring it in.

I'm tired of this shit...
