Game Settings Survey

Hi all, starting work on making a game. Wanted to understand and learn some things from the gamers perspective as well as from the developer's perspectives.

 

This is a survey about settings menus for games.

Done. My comment about the Certain post processing affects comes from personal experience of wishing I could disable some and not others.

 

Like I prefer to have motion blur off in some games but not others. I also don't use V-Sync on most games (except tomb raider where I got unacceptable screen tearing) unless it's 100% necessary because I like having the higher framerate (just as a emotional crutch lol)

 

I never have encountered the issue of it rendering too many frames and then getting a harsh drop.

You're very lucky. Happens to me all the time. Especially when i play Ubisoft games.

I always enable Vsync, no need to make my GPU work harder than it needs to and I want to avoid screen tearing.

I always think the best games are ones that you can tell the developers played themselves.

please do open world i love open world games and if possible allow us to go into third person (if its that type of game). also for one of the questions (about sending information to the company) as long as its not public and helps out the devs then i am all for it

If i do FPS then i'll definitely do Open World at one point. If it's open world then yeah it'll be third person. About the data gathering stuff. Epic Games, maker of Unreal Engine has a setting for player to be default give information to them or not.The info is used for analyzing it and what was mentioned in the question. Don't worry it won't be public.

cool i always like making devs lives easier. also would love to try the alpha once is out
