crysis 3 will work at min settings

What do you define as a "game"? Do you consider something like Minesweeper a game?

its a gaming laptop made by msi. Yes it will play games very well but expect games like BF4 , Gta and Fallout 4 to run on low settings.

Excuse my noobieness but I have a friend who wants to buy this laptop and wants to know if it could play any game even on low.

 

It has a GTX 950M

It'll play them, sure, but probably at low to medium settings and not at a steady 60fps for a lot of more demanding titles.

nvidia mobile GPU = Desktop GPU - 2 tiers (that's what i heard)

so 950m = 750

960m = 750ti

Not exactly

850m=950m=860m=960m=750 Ti (exactly the same core - different clockspeeds by 100MHz each)

965m=950

970m=960

980m=970

980=980 (shocking, I know)

It's still decent but it reduces performance by 20-25%
