Hi guys. I got a 100NZD steam card for New Years from my Auntie who is visiting for New Years and I'm not sure what games to buy. I have already bought some games as well.

My Specs are:

I5 6600k

Gtx 970 G1 gaming

8GB ram.

This PC was bought for me so I can't change it now.

I'm looking at Just Cause 3 because I do like blowing shit up. What's the optimisation like? This could be a game id buy.

Dont like the GTA series before you suggest it.

Don't know if I would like Witcher 3. Its 50$ but I've never played any of them before.

Warhammer: Vermintide looks alright, but I dont think a large player base is there.

Dont like Fallout 4. Played it on my cousins PC.

Any other games you would suggest??

I've heard Just Cause's optimisation is shit but that may have been patched.

Maybe Rainbow Six: Siege? The matchmaking connection is shit but it's a pretty good game.

Witcher 3 is amazing. I'd recommend you watch a recap video of the previous two games before playing though.

Rocket League is pretty fun and it's cheap as well.

Be nice to each other boys and girls. And don't cheap out on a power supply.

Im just gonna throw out some cheaper games as well

-CS:GO

-Half-Life

-Rocket League

-CoD World at War (for zombies ood course)

I do have CS:GO and I played a little bit of Half-life back in the day, but not something I would really pick up.

Vermintide. It's great. Hell I'll play it with you if you want.

Lol. Thanks.how easy is it for you to get matches?? That's the only thing putting it off for me, I dont think too many play it.

Wait and do research on anything suggested here.

You have never told us what you do like

I cant really say what I like, because I can like anything. I'm flexible, I love the total war series, I love the L4d series, but I also like the Dynasty Warriors series. I could like the Witcher 3. But I'm scared to pay 50$ for it and I don't like it.

JC3 performs okay. AMD systems are slightly worse, but you should be okay with the 970. however it still stutters a bit and hitches

definitely witcher 3. absolutely stupendous game

Would Just Cause 3 be a good game to pick up?? I don't mind buying it. But then I would have about 37$ left.

I've heard Just Cause's optimisation is shit but that may have been patched.

R6S looks cool, but I've heard that it can get boring after a while.

don't be scared of witcher 3. the only things that may be troubling is if you have the time for it, and if you're willing to delve into witcher lore. i mean, witcher 3 has won multiple awards for a reason

btw, i think it's on sale on steam for $30. but i recommend getting it on GOG

as for JC3, i'd say wait until it gets priced better.

Lol there's a decent player base now, it's not hard to find people at all. It's even better if you have a few friends since cooperation is key.

Wish I could. But GOG is not in my currency and taking into account exchange rates its probably a few dollars more expensive on Steam. Do you think I should go for Witcher 3, despite not knowing the Lore and story behind it, or go for Just Cause 3. Any Idea when the next Steam sale would be?? 3 or 4 months time??

the current winter sale is probably the best sale for a while. i dunno when the next big sale will be.

honestly, if you have alot of time to spare (and i mean a lot) get witcher 3. if not then no cigar.

IMO it's not worth getting JC3 at its price right now.

edit:

i'd like to clarify what i mean by a lot of time. meaning if you can take the time and play witcher 3, since it's a pretty long game. plus the lore behind it takes some getting used to, but it won't take you months to understand. however it helps to play witcher 2 (maybe 1) as well

I do have time to play the game over the next month and a half but for the rest of 2016 not really as UNI gets pretty demanding. In my country the Witcher 3 is only 50$ on Sale. I'll watch some game play, and read a bit about it first. Ive got nearly a week anyway before the sales end. :) thanks for your help
