I have 3 slots for 140mm and 1 slot for 120mm. If I get all 120mm because its cheaper, will it hinder airflow that much?

Not really no, it just depends on how your have the airflow setup in the case itself, 140mm fans though can do the same amount of work at a lower RPM than a 120mm fan.

Depends on the fan brand ext. 140 will have more air flow but will be expensive. 120 will have less but also cheaper.

this question in general is not very good.

it's like asking "if my car is 1 meters long, will a 2 meter car be faster?".

It really depends, but yes in general 140mm will be faster and quieter among a few other things.

No, just be marginally louder.

The biggest difference between 140mm and 120mm fans is you can run the 140mm fans at a lower rpm since they push more air, thus making them quieter.

Of course, you can run them at the same speed as a 120mm fan, but then they'll be about as loud, and in that case will also push considerably more air.

Go with 140mm's over 120mm when possible.

2x 140mm's tend to push about as much air as 3x 120mm's.
