IMO it doesn't matter. The best AV is Common Sence. Also update Java regularly.

I'd just use Avast! Free and use Windows firewall. You still got to be smart with what you download and browse though.

I use Microsoft Security Essentials, but I hear that Avast! is the best free anti-virus out right now. 

 

But really it doesn't matter so long as you to take use of the built-in anti-virus called common sense. Which is why I'm still using MSE and not Avast.

(Honestly it's because I'm lazy >.>)

Avast or AVG are both a great chose. Norton i believe cost money for it to be any good.
