How to setup raid?

I have no experience in raid at all. Im not stupid in pc building. I do have a raid controller in the pcie with both my ssds in it. Im attempting to setup raid 0.

I dont know what to do in how to setup raid after i get to uefi advanced/storage configuration. It sata controller is switched on, selection is ahci but no disks are found. When plugged into the mobo they are both found. But when in the raid controller it says nothing.

Asrock h81 pro btc

8gb ballistix ram

Gtx 960 ssc evga

Should be in your BIOS/UEFI setup. You should be able to find the information in your MB manual. You can also setup a software RAID by going through the Windows Drive Manager.

Go to advanced settings in your bios (speaking from my own bios) and find storage configuration. If it isn't there, search through your bios for storage. Set the Sata controller to raid, then save and exit, and before you boot there should be a screen to pop up and hit the keys it requires to go into setup, follow onscreen instructions, select drives, and boom.

... I'm confused, you don't have an OS? 

 

If you can't find drive manager I don't think you should be playing with UEFI/BIOS settings or a RAID array. But here is a link to help you out (Google is your friend).

I'm sure on the topic, just not sure on your Motherboard. Hence why I said it's possible, but settings menus differ between motherboard makes. I could spend 1 1/2 hours of my own time reading through your MB manual found on the manufacturer website only to parrot what is in that manual back onto this forum, or (and my preferred option) I could point you in the direction of infinite learning possibilities only a few short keystrokes away, here.

You aren't going to make it anywhere in the world acting like that. We don't know your hardware, so we can't give you an exact fix. If the Sata modes weren't there for raid, it seems you're out of luck for a bios raid.

You lost the manual; Ok...and? Obviously your internet connection is working, is there a specific reason you could not type "Asrock h81 pro btc manual" into Google and click the FIRST link? Not second, not third, but the FIRST link that would take you directly to the download page for your motheboard's manual.

 

The reason that the only options you have are IDE and AHCI is because your motherboard does not support RAID in BIOS. One point that should have been fairly obvious to you is that if you plug the drives into the RAID card, they will not show up in your BIOS under the SATA options since they are not plugged in to the SATA controller. To setup RAID on the controller, you will have to enter into your controller's BIOS and do the setup there. We might have been able to help you configure that, if you had thought to include the model number of the RAID card that you are using.

 

I'll suggest that you stay away from RAID. If you have trouble with something as simple as Googling your motherboard's manual, you have a long ways to go before you're ready to play with RAID. The simple rule of thumb is this: If you have to ask a question about RAID, you shouldn't be using RAID.

Oh my god. Im so sorry. I literally created my account at a friends house and asked the question. I left my phone there and came back today only to see all these replies. Im literally so sorry for any trouble he caused. I will do what you said and use win drive manager. Sorry to everyone else also.
