GPU Crossfire?

Go to solution Solved by -rascal-,

I bought my entire PC as a pre-built ASUS computer with an R9 370. It's on newegg if you just search up "R9 370". At least for Canada it is.

So it would work if i just got a R7 370?

They are both identical cards, so should work together in Crossfire.

I'm considering on getting another graphics card to have a crossfire AMD R9 370's (2 gb) but I cant seem to find an R9 370 anywhere. There are only R7 370's. I also found out that the R7 370 and the R9 version are both exactly the same in specs and performance. The only difference between the R7 and the R9 version is the power it takes to use - (R7 370 - 150W) & (R9 370 - 110W). Would crossfire still work if I get an R7 370?

Are you sure you're not referring to an R9 270 because there are only R7 370's. AMD drop their 70 series GPU's down into the R7 bracket for the 300 series.

@Jacktastic-Mofo is correct.

There is no R9-370, but a R7-370.

From what I know, OEM's -- and certain websites -- lists the card are the R9 series, but is now in fact moved to the R7 line-up.

For an example, DELL lists the card in their website as the R9-370.
