I personally like using Paracord to sleeve my cables. It takes a bit more work, but it's cheaper and looks better IMO. Any 550 Paracord will work fine.

The amount you need will depend on the PSU and whether it is modular. Paracord is cheap to buy in 100ft + packs, so 200ft should be enough for an entire PSU.

Depends on the cables. Some PSUs use thicker gauge wires than others, and some use flat cables for SATA (or just general flat SATA data cables). 3mm should be okay for general ATX cables, but if you get 5mm, you can stretch it to make it fit the cable better.

If you go for Paracord, there is just one width available for 550lbs Paracord, which works well.

If you go with pet sleeving go with 4mm, its easier to work with.

You can use heatshrink, or just melt it to the base of the connector (what I do). Measure the length of the paracord against the cable (you'll want to pull it slightly tight), cut it. Pull out the cores, mask off the connector to prevent the paracord from snagging on the connector, then slide it over. Use a flame to melt the end of the paracord and pinch it down at the base of the connector (can hurt, BTW).

Hello,

I would like to sleeve my psu cables but what kind of material should the sleeves be made of?

I came across  pet sleeving and it looked pretty good.

And also how thick of a sleeve would i need to buy i want every cable sleeved?

i did mine with 550 paracord, best advice i can give DO NOT buy a tool, i bought it and it broke after 2 cables! use staples, they last longer and are cheap to replace

In general for sleeving you want 4mm material for single wire sleeve I have a guide here that goes into further detail on this and the two main styles under Sleeving: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/407754-modding-faq-common-mods-new-updates/page-1

Those cables can be sleeved but are more work, under the Sata and Molex section it goes over how to do a set of two daisy chained cables, but if your PSU allows for individual cables to each PCI-E connector instead of daisy chained ideally those would look the best and be easier to sleeve.

Not as ideal but you can snip them off, in most cases for those kinds of connectors with the +2 the double wire method is desirbale to hide the +2 behind the motherboard tray but having the daisy chain connectors compounds the problem:

i saw your post about the serial cables and it helped a lot i think ill just leaf it on there and use the heat shrink less version.

one question about that can you burn para cord that way or do i need to use another material for that burning thing?

Yes paracord melts very similarly to PET just much quicker due to the smaller strands in the weaved material.
