99% of the time people say that, the response to the question "why only those" is "cause I like only them" hence why I stopped paying attention to such statements unless a valid reason is given in the OP

Because a 390X is the best of both worlds? 980-performance for 100$ less?

yeah and deal with awful amd crimson and higher power comsumption.. these are the reasons i preferr nvidia

if someone asks between two things its annoying to have people recommend something completely different

Erm, Crimson is currently fine. The issue that was present for a whole 12 HOURS was fixed the monday after a national Holiday.

As for power, I'm sure that extra 70W on top of a 980 would NEVER make 100$ worth of a difference, however you choose to spin it.

If the Corsair AX is nearly the same price then go for that. Otherwise get the RM if the AX is a lot more expensive.

Crimson was fixed immediately without delay and a the actual impact on your power bill will only amount to the money you saved after about 10 years so there's that.

Well, the pricing of both unit will determine which will give you the best value. If they are pretty the same price, the AX would be a better value due to better build quality / performance. If the price difference is double and the RM is cheaper, then the RM would be a better value, and it also offer a quieter operation.

May I asked though, why are you looking at only those two options? If you could, can you provide a link to the store you are buying from? We may be able to find something better for you that you may have overlooked.

You can get the Seasonic X 650 KM for RM603.14

http://www.lelong.com.my/seasonic-x-series-gold-650w-modular-power-supply-ss-650km-80-g-fm-chocobozz-K1233251-2007-01-Sale-I.htm

....which is the same price as the RM650.

To my understanding, it's the older version of the X series, which the original Corsair AX 650w Gold unit was based off of. If you can buy from this site, definitely get the Seasonic X.
