Xbox 360 game installations

Alright, I was wondering if you could take one copy of a game (let's go with GTA V), install it, and then later on buy another copy of the game. Would you be able to just throw the new copy in and play, or would you have to reinstall? Just curious over anything since my dad might be setting up the Xbox we got like a year ago finally.

I dont think I've ever put a physical disk in my 360 so I'm really not sure

You can only install one copy of a game at any one time.

You can have the game installed.

Grand Theft Auto V is a complicated example so I'll describe it with a one-disk no-install-required game.

Say you decide to install The Orange Box onto your hard drive. The data will still be on the hard drive, ready to use when any copy (of that region) of the game is inserted.
