E = Melee

LCtrl = Prone

C = Crouch

Middle Mouse Button for Grenade

All the rest are the same

Also, as a sidenote, when aiming down sight (ADS) I prefer it to be toggled so I don't have to hold down the RMB to keep aiming.

From a long time mess up of rpg and fps, I've come to something like ... WASD move. QE lean or strafe, \ (or Z) switch weapons, Z prone (or, switch weapons), X or RMB aim, C crouch, G grenade, F use, T teamchat, Y/Enter allchat, 1-9 weapons, H holster, V and E (& MMB) for use/interacts, LShift sprint, Ctrl walk (more an RPG thing) Tab/tilda (`) team/server/map info.

I usually use T or V to talk if they aren't doing anything important. I like caps lock to be crouch but other than that it is the same. But if you want to make your game easy for anyone to just pick up and play, then use the defaults from other popular games. Most of us will have more customized and personal set ups. And most of us are the people that will change the controls anyways.

Im planning to make the keybinds customisable, but i want the preset to be more or less what every1 will be using

Basically the same, but there are these differences:

E- use/interact

G- grenade

F- melee

No MMB and forwards/backwards (on mouse) love, because my previous mouse- Logitech M505 -didn't come with those. Irritating design, because I use the MMB alot while browsing the web.

I usually use the default and just add binds to my mouse buttons to switch weapons

other then that, alot of games are different with how they use weapons and things so you cant just universally use 1 set up comfortably unless you dont use half of a games binds

If I had one wish, I would ask for a big enough ass for the whole world to kiss

Same (if you meant D=right strafe and S = back), but I use C for crouch and left ctrl for prone, however I'm trying to change to use the same as yours (been playing Mirror's Edge and C just doesn't work).

I don't use Q though, Q and E are game specific, sometimes lean, sometimes spot.....

Grenade is front side mouse along with something else for the rear side mouse

Crouch, prone and sights should be togglable btw.

My layouts are similar to ones people have posted in this thread but when I started MMO's a number of years back, I switched from WASD to ESDF to allow myself easier access to more keys.  This has switched over to FPS games as well now so for the most part, everything gets shifted over 1 row.

Secondary: 8

Crouch: M

Prone: usually N. might change.

Reload: P

Aim: RMB
