So I'm switching my AMD HDD to a Intel MoBo and the Intel HDD into my AMD MoBo and I got the AMD to Intel switch down, but I don't know about the Intel to AMD. What drivers do I look for and how do I find them when I uninstall them? Do I have to have another copy of windows to repair all the drivers? Anything else I'm forgetting? Sorry, this is my first time doing a motherboard switch so I don't have a lot of knowledge over this.

It'll boot but it'll probably need an uninstalling of any Intel management interfaces whether before or after.

Simplified: I'm putting a HDD with a version of windows that has AMD drivers into a new motherboard with a Intel CPU and vice versa.

Just wipe the drivers.

Or have both drivers installed.

nah mate.

my current OS, win7, was taken straight outta a AMD system, straight into a intel system.

never cleaned out my old chipset drivers. Shits working fine. I see no reason why going from Intel to AMD would be any different

same happen for me, my AMD HDD works perfectly when I switch it to the Intel motherboard, but Intel just doesn't work right away with AMD motherboards.
