Beginning New Build- Need Advice

I'm looking to build a Gaming PC, and I've used a fair chunk of my budget so far on my CPU, RAM, and MB. These are older models, but I've heard nothing but good things about them. For a build that can run most games at medium and the newest at low 1080p 60FPS-ish, does the current items I have look good, or should i upgrade to more current parts.

Parts I have so far: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/TRpy6h

(I have a friend who is willing to give me the above parts for $200 USD)

I would like to get the rest of the components for around an additional $350 USD (excluding peripherals and OS). can you build off the parts I already have and post possible options? If a red/black theme is possible, that would be great. Any feedback on the parts i already have picked is welcome.

Thank you.

You definetly want to go newer. An i5 4670k or an i5 4460.

Ryzen 5 1600 - GTX 980 Ti - Broke.
