15.4" 1680x1050 vs 14.4" 1280x800

Will the ppi and Windows scaling be the same? I dont care about resolution , all i want is that my start is not taking up 2/3 of my screen.

Both are 16:10.

There is a 1440x900 14.4 option.

You can change the scaling to what you want from the Settings app on Windows 10 and the Control Panel on Windows 7 and 8.

This is a helpful tool. https://www.sven.de/dpi/ If it's above 100 it's good. Around 130 is ideal in my opinion.

100 and 130 is soo damn high lol. I don't see pixels on my 24" 1080p monitor with a PPI of 91.

This is a laptop display we are talking about, you sit closer to a laptop. Also higher ppi on a laptop gives you more space, which is helpful.

 

15.6 inch 768p panel is 100 ppi, that's low.
