Internet matters xDhttp://www.speedtest.net/ So check that, and to be honest, the I7 4790K would do a better job, 5820K would do an even better job, the 5960X (I think is it's number) would do a marvellous job.

Yes, they would do a great job, but I'd also need a great job (not rly but I am kinda broke). Will be getting 100/100 anytime soon. What would be the downsides of 4690k? What does the processor even do when streaming?

Is this the text below my post?

What games you planning to stream, OP? Light games will do fine on it, but that chip will struggle with newer, AAA titles.

Shot through the heart and you're to blame, 30fps and i'll pirate your game - Bon Jovi

Take me down to the console city where the games are blurry and the frames are thirty - Guns N' Roses

Arguing with religious people is like explaining to your mother that online games can't be paused...

If you dont already own the motherboard and ram I would seriously consider 5820 i7. 6 core hyperthreading will really help here

CSGO, Dota, maybe Arma when I get the new CPU, and upcoming titles like Dead Island 2, Mirrors Edge 3, Left 4 Dead 3. Remember that I do not currently stream but it is something I would like to try out, so I most likely won't spend another 100$ for a CPU just for that cause.

In that case you have answered your own question lol. It wont be as good as other options but they are too expensive (we've all been here!) so you will have to make do.

Lol, only if you turn settings all the way down for Arma/Mirrors Edge 3, Left 4 & Dead 3.

Good luck with Arma, that game runs like shit. The second Mirror's Edge game is coming out, and L4D3 confirmed source? I haven't heard anything.

You can use QuickSync with OBS, LTT have done a video on it.
