How do move windows 8 from my hdd to my new ssd

Also, will moving a games folder from the steam apps common folder to my ssd screw things up?

You can clone the drive. There is various software you can get on to a usb drive to boot from while both drives are connected. And moving the steamapps common folder over to a new install of steam is plug and play. Just when you copy the games over it won't detect them there until you try to download them again.
