Sure. And don't worry, you won't see a performance difference VS the G1 Gaming, it will be around the same.

get a molex to 6 pin adapter normally this is not a good idea but there is no other choice

make sure to connect this to a separate connector than your 8 pin

i have a corsair 430w psu and it only has 1 8 pin connector but the new gpu (a g1 gtx 960) im looking at needs a 8 & a 6 pin is there anything i can do?

Use a molex adapter, one should've came with your 960. Also the PCI-E connector doesn't have another power cable coming off the end of it?

Nope. You could rig a Molex to PCI-E power, but it's not recommended on your wattage PSU anyways.

Get a new PSU. The one you are using will not be safe running a GTX 960.

That will handle a 960 I run mine with a 450watt.
