So I bought a cooler master hyper 212 Evo and I have an LGA 1151 socket, which it didn't say it supported on the box, but people on this forum said that it would be fine. Everything was going well until I tried to fit the mounting bracket on. Is there something I'm doing wrong or does anyone have any tips? Or does it just not work with a 1151 socket?

I am not sure first hand but you might need new mounting brackets for that new layout, which you can get from CM

If that is this is the case.
