Hello, i dont know where i should be posting this so if a mod could move this to the appropriate sub thread that would be great

Currently I am trying to roll out a remote computing server for myself, basically what I want to do is have the server run a virtual instance of windows with multi-monitors and I want to be able to remote access said computer through thin clients either on the go with a Chromebook or a low powered windows desktop with multiple monitors

Where I need some advice is on setting up the remote desktop with support for multi monitors and possibly some challenges I might face when doing a set up like this, my reasoning for doing virtual instances of windows as opposed is because I might have multiple people who need to access a desktop

all help is appreciated and thank you for the help and for reading my thread

in the office space teamviewer has worked this out perfectly.

i'm still waiting for someone in the gamer/enthousiast space to figure this out :/

teamviewer doesnt like lots of movement on screen, and has a less than ideal keyboard/mouse algorithm.

The builtin Remote Dektop Protocol has support for multiple monitors too, although I've never tried it. I think but the client and the server/VM have to be windows 7 or server 2012 or later, but don't wuote me on that. The RDP protocol also might have some security concerns? I've never read into it that much.

f403632b02.pngFor me it is greyed out seeing as im on my laptop but if i where to hookup multiple screens and then remote desktop into any computer i could work on multiple screens just fine.
