is the USB port actiually plugged in to the mobo(just chek it if its not on the mobo) otherwise i have no idea

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

panic? 

NEVER PANIC, PICNIC!

I'll assume you downloaded a windows ISO and made a bootable USB drive with Unetbootin or some similar tool.

 

To boot the Windows installer off the pendrive you'll want to go into the PC's BIOS and change the boot order making sure USB (or UEFI USB) is set BEFORE ODDs or HDDs.

 

If you're talking about the PC you've downloaded Windows on not seeing your USB drive, try another USB port. If that fails, try another USB drive.
