Hardware acceleration in Firefox ?

hi guys

 

i own a thinkpad t530 with a samsung 830 ssd

clean install of window 1 hour ago (had this before the reinstall too)

firefox 23 (no addons etc)

firefox shows hardware acceleration enabled 

but i think it cant use the HD4000 GPU like IE

 

 

when using battery saver mode the cpu is down clocked to 1.2ghz to save power

 

everything is fine but when scrolling in firefox it lags

 

but in IE11 dev preview its smooth as butter which leads me to beleive that firefox doesnt use the GPU

 

 

any thoughts ?

i found this but it seems its a windows 8 problem not a windows 7 problem

the bug says the problem is in windows 8

but im experiencing it in windows 7
