I have a desktop icon i cannot delete ?!?!

I was creating a winrar file and i had a colon ( : ) in the name and when i clicked create the file broke and now i Cannot delete?

delete through command prompt

del C:/"username"/desktop/ac cars

PC SPECS: Athlon 860k, MSI 380 4GB, 8GB memory, 1TB HDD, Fractal Design Core 1000

have you tried to refresh the desktop or restart?

If you open the desktop in the file explorer and refresh it, do you still see it?

Or have you tried turning off your PC and turning it back on, because I feel like the file is actually gone.. But the icon is not gone yet.

press F5 with no windows selected

 

this is a common issue on slower systems, sometimes happens on faster systems as well.
