Nice, I'll look through this :)

Also what are the changes made to the V2?

Here you go :)

The final change list for M1 v2:

  • Enlarged CPU cutout upward on motherboard tray
  • Additional cutouts at bottom of motherboard tray
  • Move rear 92mm fan and tubing holes down 2mm
  • Additional 3.5" HDD mounting location at forward bottom of chassis
  • Cable tie holes on chassis bottom reduced from 10 to 5
  • SSD stacking brackets modified to allow stacked 7mm thick SDDs closer
  • ATX PSU bracket moved back to allow more clearance behind chassis front
  • 3.5" HDD cage fixed to work in upper fan bracket position
  • ODD bracket screw holes reduced for better M2 screw fit
  • No top panel screw
  • More SSD mounting screws
  • Extra side panel clips
  • Dome head M5 screws changed to flat head M5
  • Shortened internal AC cable, changed to left angle
  • Threaded inserts at side bracket mounting points

considering that the ekwb rad is "only" 38mm thick, I will never see a 63.5mm thick  aquacomputer AMS rad in a M1 :(

You could do a whole room water cooling setup though xD

  • 2 months later...

Alright everyone I just made the 'pretty much' last purchase. Got a 980, water block, back plate, fittings, custom cable making supplies, and other accessories.

These will all be shipped to the US by I think November 25th or something like that and I will go and pick them up within the same week. After of course grabbing a few burger with fries and a gallon of ice cream ;)

Then I will assemble it all, and cross my fingers for a post.

Build will be named something osmium, not sure if UV Osmium would be good enough... suggestions? *osmium is the densest known element

Things I need to do:

  • Make a build banner, unless @Rumikarimu can hook me up ;)
  • build it
  • make a build log and link it here
