If your trying to get the price down, I'd take a look at your choice of case. There are plenty of cheaper cases you can get for half the price of the one you chose that wont mess with your color scheme.

If you are going to go With a 83xx (Vishera) processor, you should at least get a board with the 990FX chipset on it.  The board you picked will work with a bios update but you will be loosing out on many features with an older chipset like the 970.

Well for $40 you can get the deepcool tesseract red. I dunno if it matches the minimalist look perfectly, but I have the same case in a different color and I can vouch for its quality.
