I salvaged a cpu a while back, but i dont know what cpu it is. All i know is that its intel. Im looking to sell it now, so i need to identify it. Thanks!

It's on the heat spreader. Says model and if it's ld it may even say clock speed.

Heres some pics, took me a second to dig it out, sorry.

 

Clean it off, then you will see lettering etched into the heat spreader.

 

It will tell you everything that you need to know.

is it safe to clean it without alchohol like linus uses? Because i dont have any on hand. Id have to buy some.

use any cleaner

I use carburator cleaner ..works good

or brake cleaner

 

even mr clean would probably work
