Some run at 60, most run at 30 or less. Really depends on the intensity of the situation, as when a lot of things are happening, it will sputter.

By next gen do you mean the PS4 and XB1 or the PS5 and XB2?  Current gen are locked at 30.  Very few games can run at 60.  VERY few.

depends on the game, some are 30 some at 60.

usually they are not locked though, but capped. locked = does not move from that fps while capped = doesn't go over a certain fps (but can go under it, which consoles do. they sometimes stutter).

Here is a good list on many games: http://www.ign.com/wikis/xbox-one/PS4_vs._Xbox_One_Native_Resolutions_and_Framerates

This is many games with their res and fps

Yes, I know.

I'm asking what's the most common lock.

the most common seems to be 30fps now, but competitive multiplayer fps games usually want 60fps (for example, Killzone on the PS4's singleplayer is at 30fps, while multiplayer is at 60fps).

Well, current gen, but that could be misleading since ps3/xb360 are still pretty common.

Not misleading at all. When a console generation has released (2 years ago), it is "current gen."

Depending on the crowd, retro consoles are "still pretty common" but that doesn't mean they're the current generation.

720p: 60fps

792p: 60fps

900p: Varies between 30 and 60 fps

1080p: 30 fps

That isn't even very Accurate

Wolf TNO is 1080 60

Dead Rising 3 is 720 30

Only like two games ever used 792p and one was 60 the other was 30
