Pointless. Just get the FX 6300 for 70 and wait for the zen's

Not necessairly pointless, could be paired with a lower end motherboard so you don't have to overclock the 6300 to match it. Also rendering should be alright on this. Personally if I can sell my FX 6300 and one of my motherboards I'd be happy to plop a 8350 in its place.

Pretty pointless when an i3 can match/beat it and it is actually upgradable. AM3 wont support zen.

8350 beats like every i3 if it's overclocked :/ also more than 2 cores

It also destroys it in rendering and recording while playing games, and every multi threaded task. Dude, i3's aren't gods.

I used to be quite active here.

Even before its overclocked its on par with an 8320.

Reading is hard. Still wouldn't recommend AMD over used Intel however.

Not every person needs a super fucking upgradeable rig, people still recommend the LGA 1150 platform, can that shit get Skylake? the FX 8350 overclocked will be more than enough for most people, half the fucking people complaining about AMD performance don't even play damn games on their computer, they just love the synthetic benchmark score that they get, and I get it, my FX 6300 runs just fine but Ooh look 2000 more score in 3DMark and I'm jumping on that shit asap. Who care's about upgradability when none of the options are future proof at all? You're not going to recommend a $300 CPU to someone who's playing Minecraft and League of Legends, those games will always be relevant and never have a major change in graphics.

Well holy shit calm the fuck down. And most games are still single or dual threaded. Some games utilize multiple threads but not enough for it to matter. AMD in World of Tanks runs like complete shit because of its single threaded rendering system. Older games will run better and with more mods on an Intel system with the higher single threaded performance. Planetside 2 runs better on Intel. Am I recommending an i7 for everything? No. Also notice I said used. Used makes i5s and i7s alot cheaper and makes it to where why the hell would you get AMD.

those that wish to get a better value.

Agreed, though I did participate I basically took what you said in the second line and extended it out a bit. This is a very good chip for those that are looking to go the AMD route anyway and have like $30-40 more to pitch in to max out the AM3+ line. What else am I suppose to do with extra AM3+ motherboards??
