So my sister needs more ram in an all in one day pc as that is what is bottlenecking her system.

I need to get the best deal I can for about $35 give or take a little (USD).

The system she uses is an apu so it would be awesome to get faster ram like as fast as possible without sacrificing performance also 1x8 stick or 2x8 is the only real option as any set of 4gb sticks would result in a waste.

So short and sweet:

Need at least 8gb

Of fast (like faster than 2133)

Ddr3l sdram (like laptops)

Thanks guys for the help!

Merry Christmas.

even with the APU which uses RAM for VRAM

most laptops only can run max 1866MHz RAMs

heck laptops only comes with 1600MHz because they are cheap

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

@dragoon20005 is correct. We need to know the model of the laptop before we even know how much it will support, let alone what speeds it will support. Either way, here is what you asked for: http://pcpartpicker.com/parts/memory/#t=9&sort=d2&page=1&Z=8192001,16384002&s=302133

Just tell us the model of the laptop. We can determine that information for you, and tell you which speeds to get without wasting extra cash.

204 for DDR3 SO-DIMM. Use this list: https://pcpartpicker.com/parts/memory/#t=9&Z=8192001,16384002&sort=a7&page=1

It's 1600mhz DDR3 SO-DIMM memory, listed from the best Price:GB. 1x8GB and 2x8GB sticks. Good luck on your upgrade.
