I had a random question stemming from an observation I had while watching your YouTube Videos. What is Linus doing when he takes his hand to his belt area often times in his videos? It almost appears as if he's pressing some button on his "utility belt" all the time throughout his videos. Just a random observation that I've noted and wondered about. I'm loving your channel by the way and have found it very informative.

he writes scripts and uses a teleprompter to be able to say the stuff in the videos. there's no way he can memorize the stuff he writes.

He reaches down to scroll the teleprompter to the next few lines using a wireless keyboard. This is a device in front of the camera that has a script on it and you can read from it without looking like you're not looking at the camera.

Ah...that makes total sense.  thanks guys.  I wonder if there would be a more discreet way for him to accomplish this.  I've always been somewhat distracted by it.

He could do it with foot pedals, but I don't think it's distracting enough to warrant it - I've never really noticed it.

He could set it to an auto scroll, or have someone standing beside the camera and doing it for him.

I think he should just get a foot petal  

 

But its really not a big deal to most people I think
