upgread amd to intel

i have a amd 6300 cpu what is 3 cores 6 threads is it worth me upgreading to intel 1151 or 2011-3 what cpu and what motherboard and ram budget dose not mater at the moment  i have a evga 750w and evga gtx  760 acx cooler and cosair h100i liquid cooler and 8gb of ddr3 ram and a define r4 case

unless your games are CPU-bound, you won't notice a difference. GPU is the bottleneck

Uh.... I'd start upgrading the GPU first. Even if you were to change platforms, you aren't going to squeeze that much more performance out of your 760.

 

Grab an r9 390 / Gtx 970 now, and sell your 760. Later 2016, when Zen arrives, you can upgrade your CPU to it.

not the issue - FX 6300 is solid enough to run a 760 easily - it can do fine with a 770

and a cheap H97 MoBo it'll set you back about 300$ and you'll get 10+ more FPS in most games.

Cinebench is a CPU benchmark - it is MEANINGLESS to actual game performance where the limiting factor is the 760 - I get double what you get in Cinebench but I get lower fps in games because of the GPU.... (laptop - i7 + 860M)

RTS is fine - if they can run on a Athlon X2, they can run on anything

Arma needs a 4690K OCed to run properly maxed

The only RTS i'm basing this off of is SupCom 2 since that's the only one I play

A friend of mine lags super hard in it in big battles with an A10 at low graphics, the iGPU should be more than enough to run it but CPU wise it's not strong enough.

My friend has an Athlon X2 3600+ from 2007 - he runs SC2 LotV fine above 40fps with no drops

he probably as V-sync off. I am telling you, when it is on registering 90 fps is IMPOSSIBLE on a 60Hz display. Turn off your V-sync and try that way. Try Witcher 3 or GTA V

PS: 760 is about the same as a 660 Ti so don't expect your card to be more than 10% more powerful. If his is OCed and yours isn't that's also a thing to consider
