I need help.

What is best headphons/headset for 150$

Is audio technica atmh50x is the best one?

That's really subjective. Do you need a mic? Do you need noise isolation or are you OK with an open-back design for a better soundstage at the expense of noise leakage?

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

- no idont like open pack.

-I want it for listen to music and to make my video sound quality more accurate.

-no idont need mic.

:D

Don't forget to quote people so they get a notification that they replied!

Are you going to be travelling outside a lot with these on? If so then the M40X/M50X (M40x are slightly cheaper and have a more neutral sound rather than the bassier M50s) are a good choice. If not, then the NVX XPT100 are a good choice.

Yeh mate you can buy a phenomenal pair of surround sound gaming and speech headphones for £20.

If you are using them for a quality audio playback , , studiowise , you will need a better pair.

I.e Audio Technica have a large range of studio quality headphones , for 100 dollars you will find something necessary.

I wouldnt spend 100 dollars on studio headphones for gaming , totally unecessary!

Like buying a Lamborghini Countach to go to the Launderette in!

lol

Well as a primary consideration anyway!

You should read up on stuff because a sound card doesn't make your sound instantly good.

Nope. If I were you, I'd go for the NVX XPT100 or even something like the MDR V6 or 7506.

Well aye , if you buy a crap soundcard , mine is external and proper studio quality , a fairly content pair of studio headphones will bring you a very nice sound for not too high a price..

"should read up!"

"Ahem!"

If you have a basic or lowriding internal soundcard your headphones , the more suped up they are will give you a better signal.....

P.S. This thread is really old and those Element 7.1 Headsets you linked are garbage.

Studio quality + $30 "gaming" headset definitely to together... I mean, look at the people who buy Razer headsets or Siberias and think they are top notch quality. Add a $200 sound card or $500+ dac/amp and those Razer headsets REALLY come to life!!!
