I kinda like the low side of the sound as i think the sound gets tinni when its to much,

but would they be able to run on a phone or no?

yeah, should be fine

a portable amp/dac would give higher quality though

Yes, even at a moderate volume people will still be able to hear what you're listening to, though it needs to be pretty quiet for that to happen.

So not ideal for what im looking for?
