Build for a friend

Xenift

Well hey guys, today i am here to ask for tips on choosing the hardware for my friend's computer.

Requirements

A Monitor with a Speaker built-in

All components to be bought off NEWEGG SINGAPORE (http://www.newegg.com/global/sg/)

A case without a window that will accept either a R9 390 or GTX 970.

Budget of SGD$1500 --> Around USD$1000

SSD

At least an i5

Non-requirements

No SLI is needed whatsoever, same goes for CrossFire

Peripherals will be handled seperately

Overclockable CPU --> If possible

OS

The main target of this build would be a friend who has saved up his hard earned cash so that he can enter the PC gaming community.

He currently will be playing CS:GO for now, but i will be sure to get him on more demanding games.

As seen from the above, the MATX board is chosen because of it being both cheap, and since there is no window on the damn thing it doesn't matter. I mostly chose the Define R4 because of the clean look as well as that i am 100% sure that a R9 390 is going to fit inside of it. But any suggestions of a non windowed panel, MATX case is highly welcomed.
1080P Gaming would be his subject, and i expect the computer to last a good 3-4 years.
And i shall repeat again, no OS is required as he will be looting keys from dreamspark.

I would love feedback on how to improve the build from any angle of debate.
Thank you guys for your help :3

Okay so i guess i can save around SGD$30 by going powercolour and get a better PSU.

Any recommendations?

This is what I think is the perfect system for you

TOTAL $1600

*all products from http://www.newegg.com/global/sg/

*I know it is a little over your budget but it will be a wicked over-clocker and will be able to push 1440p

Tell me what you think and have a great day :)

This build is broken. Skylake chip (overclockable one) doesn't include a CPU cooler. GTX 970 perform worse than the R9 390.

I recommend this:

4460

ATX/MATX mobo

8GB of ram

SSD+HDD/HDD/SSD

R9 390/380X

Some case

EVGA GS/G2 PSU
