Guys i want to buy an amd fx 8320 which i will overclock to 4.7 and i will use the asus sabertooth 990fx/gen3 r2.0 i just want to know if the cpu will decrease the performance of the gtx 690. I cant get i7 due to the cost.

i saw the benchmarks and after the overclock the fx's performance was pretty good.i just dont the cpu to decrease the performance over 10 fps

get an i5 4460 instead , it's the same price.

Also there is no garantee that the cpu will reach 4.7ghz ( even though the motherboard is great)

Depends on the game. In Fallout 4 there's a chance it would, the 8320 because of the threads will perform better in that game.

 

So it's important to know what games you play.

i5 > FX

 

Don't question it. A lot of forum users have gone this route and they all got screwed. Get an i5. It won't bottleneck your 690 while an FX CPU will.
