N00b OS Questions

Go to solution Solved by suchamoneypit,

if you just got a key, you can download the windows media installation tool from microsoft, load windows 10 onto a USB (it needs to be empty) and then boot off the USB and during windows installation it will ask for your product key. From where you get the key, I just bought mine from newegg which probably wasn't the cheapest option but I was new to PC building at the time.

As my the construction of my PC slowly comes to an end I'm now faced with getting an OS, but seeing as though this is my first PC build I've never actually had to install Windows on a fresh PC.

I've heard of all these places like G2A where you can get product keys for windows, if I was to buy one of these, what steps would I have to go through when I first load up my PC?

Can someone link a guide or just a general step by step procedure?

Also, lots and lots of different websites for these codes have been thrown around but which is the most reliable?
