Stream audio from one PC to another

Kay, so I have my laptop hooked up to my radio tuner and I want to attempt to stream the audio from that to my main rig, an on the free. :P

 

Not really sure if I can do it, and before anyone asks about just plugging my headphones into it or buying a cable or something stupid: No. Just don't even start typing it.

Does the radio tuner have any outputs that would be compatible?

If the tuner has outputs, how do you expect to connect it to your pc without a cable?

I HAVE a cable. It's plugged in to my freakin laptop right now... Kinda the whole point of the topic...

 

Well I kind of meant what kind of outputs....

Does it matter? I want to stream audio from one PC to another. Ports on a tuner don't have jack shit to do with software on a computer.

Dear god no. I don't want it to sound like a potato, and I hate Skype with a raging passion.

 

Getting another cable and going from the tuner to your pc line in is a heck of alot better than some half assed software solution. I'm sure software to do it is out there to stream audio across the network from a pc. I bet even VLC player could do it.

Yeah well no money. I wouldn't mind getting a phat cable like 30 feet long because interference is... Kinda big... in my room.

 

While not quite the interface I was hoping for (I was hoping for it to do VLC), it looks like it will do the job. I'll take a look.

Some kind of UPnP solution. I use Foobar for this. You setup server on machine that will be base and connect with all other ones. So at my home, my PC is server and I connect with phone to control music. Or I could stream from phone to PCs speakers also.
