I just purchased a Sandisk 120gb SSD to run side by side with my HDD.  I plugged in my SSD into sata 3gb because the HDD is using the 6gb port.  It all is plugged in correctly yet when I boot my computer, my computer does not show it.  I don't know if I have to download any drivers or software. Sandisk hasn't been any help in this problem, so I thought that I would see if you guys could help!

Thanks,

If you boot into the bios, can you see it there?

Is it not showing up in your BIOS?

If it isn't showing up in your BIOS, you'd want to check that power is connected properly to it.

If you're not seeing it in Windows, you'd have to go to Disk Management and create a partition.

Plug the HDD into the Sata 2 port, and the SSD into the Sata 3 port. Sata 2 is bottlenecking the SSD, big time.

Also, check to see if the BIOS sees the SSD.
