Posted December 2, 2015 Ok so I had conflicting sound drivers so I disabled the Nvidia driver and kept the Realtek driver, my headphones are still registered as an audio device and work fine, unfortunately, my speakers and TV speakers are no longer registered, not even under 'disconnected' devices, any ideas on how to get them up and running again? Thanks.

Posted December 2, 2015 Wait, you said your speakers and tv speakers. Isn't your tv plugged into your graphics card through HDMI? You need the audio drivers for that. Are your speakers plugged into your TV or directly to the motherboard? What was conflicting before?
 LOL you have to have both enabled. What happens when you have both enabled?
Posted December 3, 2015 disabling the realtek drivers and leaving the Nvidia driver enabled allows only the TV to be recognized.... real... enabled HDMI audio, and rear 3.5 gets disabled. Put priority on 3.5 rear, and HDMI gets borked. If you want to have both, you will need to create a new playback device that utilizes both HDMI output and 3.5mm rear output. http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-tips/how-to-play-audio-through-hdmi-speakers-simultaneously-in-windows-7/
