SSD doesn't work in desktop , but works in laptop

That sucks. Have you tried looking for firmware updates for the SSD? Maybe that might help (unless you're already on the latest firmware already).

Only firmware that I was able to get didn't work ( well update tool didn't allow me to install it ).

Just few days ago I thought that my SSD had died ( BSOD when entering windows/installing windows ) ( Kingston V300 with Toshiba's nand ), but it turned out to work in my laptop.

Things that I've tried:

  • swapped drive to another port;
  • formatting drive;
  • formatting drive with Asus's secure erase;

I have used different HDD ( with windows ) in my desktop to assure that my MB or CPU isn't at fault. I can still use my SSD as secondary drive, but I get BSOD if the drive has windows on it or if I try to install it ( desktop only ).

did you plug in the ssd power?

don't mind me, i didn't read your whole post

I set up raid 0 with my both SSD's and set CPU to use only one core and now it works. We can close this it's either my MB or CPU.

That is really bizarre. It really bothers me why using one core would make the drives work. I would be very careful with RAID0, considering you know it's a mobo or CPU problem. That RAID array might be unstable.

I disabled raid already, but it only works with one core ( It's fine with HDD as primary drive ).
