Dilemma on Build a gaming pc or Buy a iMac 27 5K

adamkimbro

Here's a wicked build here. Got two 980 ti hybrids should overclock very nicely. I didn't get a 5930k cuz 5820 is more than enough. It's got wifi, a wicked boot drive, and much more. I added an ultra wide 3440x1440 monitor in as well. If you don't like it a 4K panel costs a little less and you could use that money to upgrade the 950 pro to a 512 gb model. You don't need more than 16 gb ram either. It's a little over budget but not by too much.

Buy whatever product is best for you, not what product is "best" for the market.

Interested in computer architecture? Still in middle or high school? P.M. me!

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.

Apart from the colour scheme all over the place, this is better than mine.

Why dual boot OSX and Ubuntu, surely it would be better to dual boot a version of Windows and OSX.

(Unless you mean Windows 10 when you see OSX?)

Windows and OSX? Dear god why? Just avoid the pain of windows altogether. Linux for software conpatibility, and OSX for the ease of use. I think id rather just take all my expensive computer components and throw them into a fire before infecting them with the windows operating system again.

Don't do drugs. Do hugs!
